Ms. Angela Burke

Angela Burke grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and knew from an early age that she would pursue a career in education. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Ms. Burke moved to the DFW region and began her teaching career at Texans Can Academy with a courseload of Integrated Physics & Chemistry and Physics. After two years with Texans Can Academy, Ms. Burke transferred to Dallas ISD and began teaching 8th grade science at Stockard Middle School, during which time she completed her Master of Science in Physics at TAMUC. For the next seven years, Ms. Burke served as the Physics and Astronomy teacher at Dallas Environmental Science Academy (DESA).

Ms. Burke has participated in various fellowships throughout the years, including Teach Plus, Teaching Trust, Dallas Kids First Campaign Fellowship, Urban Leaders Fellowship, and most recently the Principal Fellows Program at Texas Tech University as part of her Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Ms. Burke served on the administrative team at two ACE campuses: G.W. Truett Elementary School as Assistant Principal Intern/Teacher Leader and Thomas J. Rusk Middle School as Assistant Principal.

Ms. Burke attributes her accomplishments to the guidance and mentorship of the leaders who have supported her along the way. Driven by a commitment to translating excellent instruction into equitable outcomes, Ms. Burke is excited to serve as Assistant Principal at Townview Magnet Center.
